New Stockist? Here's Everything You Need to Know About Ordering from Sienna Glass

Whether you've just been approved as a new Sienna Glass stockist, you're considering applying or you've placed your first order and want to make sure you're getting the most from it — this guide covers everything you need to know.

We've been working with independent retailers, gift shops, garden centres and farm shops across the UK for many years — and we've learned a lot about what helps new stockists get off to a strong start. This guide captures the most important of it.


Who We Are and What We Do

Sienna Glass is a trade-only UK supplier of handmade glass giftware — friendship balls, spirit balls, birthstone balls, anniversary pieces, keepsake angels, bird feeders, reed diffusers and much more. Every piece in our range is individually mouth-blown by skilled European artisans. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.

We supply exclusively to trade customers — independent gift shops, garden centres, farm shops, deli and lifestyle shops, heritage and visitor attractions and similar independent retail businesses. We do not sell direct to the public — which means your customers cannot buy our products anywhere except through stockists like you.

That exclusivity matters. It means that when a customer walks into your shop and falls in love with a Sienna Glass friendship ball, the only place she can buy it is from you or another of our stockists. She cannot go home and find it on our website for less. That protects your margin and your customer relationship.


How to Apply to Become a Stockist

If you're not yet a Sienna Glass stockist and would like to be, the first step is to visit our Getting Started page and submit a trade account application.

We review all applications and aim to come back to you within two working days. We do ask for basic details about your business — your trading name, your store type and your location — so that we can make sure Sienna Glass is the right fit for your range and your customers.

Once approved, you'll receive login details for our trade website where you can browse our full range, see trade prices and place orders at any time.


Minimum Order and Ordering

Our minimum order is £100 net — this is the minimum value of goods you need to reach per order, before delivery charges.

Importantly, we have no multipack requirements. You can order exactly the quantities you need — one of this colour, two of that one — without having to commit to packs of six or twelve as many other suppliers require. This means you can build a genuinely tailored range for your specific store without having to over-commit to colours or styles that may not be right for your customers.

Pricing and Margins

Our trade prices are available on our website once you're logged in as an approved stockist. We structure our pricing to support strong retail margins for our stockists — we want our products to be commercially successful for you, not just beautiful to stock.

As a general principle, we recommend retailing our products at a minimum of 2x your trade cost — keystone markup — though many of our stockists retail at 2.3x to 2.5x on our premium and personalised pieces, where the handmade quality and uniqueness justifiably supports a higher retail price.

Your tax invoice will be sent separately once your order has been dispatched. If you have any queries about pricing, minimum orders or payment terms, simply get in touch and we'll come straight back to you.


Delivery

We dispatch all orders within two working days of receipt — often faster, but two working days is our guaranteed maximum.

Free delivery is available on all orders over £300 net. Orders below £300 are subject to a standard delivery charge — see our website for current rates.

All orders are carefully packed to protect the glass during transit. We use sustainable packaging throughout our range. If anything arrives damaged, please report it within 48 hours of delivery with your invoice number, business name and photos of the damage — we'll arrange a replacement or credit promptly.

We do not currently offer tracked delivery notifications — so if you want an update on a specific order, simply email or call us and we'll check the status for you.


Personalisation and White Labelling

Two of the services that most excite our new stockists — and that often become significant parts of their Sienna Glass range — are our personalisation and white labelling options.

Personalisation allows you to offer your customers friendship balls, friendship hearts and spirit balls with a custom label — a name, a date, a personal message or a bespoke sentiment. This is an extraordinarily powerful retail offering because it transforms a beautiful product into something genuinely irreplaceable. Personalised pieces consistently command a higher retail price and generate some of our stockists' most loyal repeat customers.

To offer personalisation to your customers, simply collect their details in-store and pass them to us when placing your order. We'll apply the personalised label before dispatching. Our team will confirm lead times for personalised orders — please allow a little extra time beyond our standard two working days.

White labelling allows you to replace our Sienna Glass branding with your own — adding your shop's logo, name or branding to the packaging of our products. This is a powerful option for retailers who want to offer a truly own-brand glass gift range or for corporate gifting programmes where brand consistency is important.

Display Stands

Our display stands are designed specifically to showcase our glass pieces beautifully in a retail environment — and we strongly recommend that new stockists include stands in their first order.

A friendship ball or spirit ball sitting on a flat shelf is a nice product. The same ball on a dedicated display stand, at the right height, catching the light from the right angle, with space around it to breathe — is an extraordinary product. The difference in sales between a well-displayed Sienna Glass range and one that isn't displayed properly is significant and consistent.

Getting the Most From Your First Order

Based on years of working with new stockists, here is our honest advice for making the most of your first Sienna Glass order:

Start focused. It's tempting to try everything — a little from every category. Resist this. Choose two or three core product families and build a proper display around them. Depth in a few categories creates a stronger display statement than one or two of everything.

Include stands. As above — the difference in sales between displayed and undisplayed glass gifts is significant. Invest in stands from the start.

Invest in the birthstone range. Birthstone balls are our most consistently strong seller across almost every store type. A full or near-full set of twelve birthstone balls creates a display that sells itself — and the customer who finds her specific birthstone in your shop is a customer who comes back.

Talk to your team. Make sure every member of your team knows the story of how the glass is made, which products are suited to which occasions and how to recommend specific pieces confidently. The product knowledge your team carries is your most powerful sales tool.
